I made this wing maybe 3-4 years ago, and I remember posting something about it.. it is based on airfoil stock, but I split it lengthwise and added chord, then inlaid unidirectional CF caps into sanded grooves, inset CF into the TE and LE, put CF tissue on the front 1/3 then tissued it. And a bit of lightweight filler..
So it is destined for an SWR, but has been gathering dust. 4-3/8" chord x 23" span. Now with this new toy - Profi Rambler .049 which will start life on the Blink - I'm inspired to do something with the wing. It is actually a Cub planform and I toyed with a small "sleeper" Cub but that might be too run of the mill. Then I remembered this favorite of mine, the Macchi MC-72, and I think this will serve as the inspiration for a sort-a-scale fuselage and tail group, and of course the open cockpit and windscreen. No floats.. don't want to slow it down too much.
It ought to sound scale. Not.
