Default RE: GP Wagstaff - Elevator Play

What I did was to put a very thin coat of RTV on the tube. I mean put it on and then wipe it off with your fingers. Get as much off as you can. It makes the drag in the tube enough that it will not have any play in it.

ORIGINAL: going vert

I just got a used (6 flights) great planes patty wagstaff. There is a little play (about .5mm) in the elevator - i.e. the elevator halves have a little rotational slop when they are mounted to the fuse. The slop is coming from the aluminum elevator tubes. There is a little play between the aluminum tube and the cardboard tube. I do not want to glue them into place. Is this slop OK or should I try to get rid of it? If so, any ideas on how to do it?

Thanks!
