There are a couple of styles of Wing Tips that have been used on theTwin Comanche in lieu of the Tip Tanks. The older style has a circular cross section while the newer versions have a sculpted underside. I have seen the Nav Lights and Strobe lights located at the tip front, under a clear housing or a more typical (and simplier) side exposure. I chose the latter for ease of fabrication. Simple 1" square balsa carved to shape and final sanded after temporary gluing and masking tape on the wing to keep from damaging the covering.
