OK guys, I have resurfaced with a plan and work in hand. Our great friend from the north really inspired me to really work the scale aspect of this great airframe. So I buried myself in the books and realized I could make the mailbox wing slots more scale like by moving them to a more scale location. So after some measuring on my 1/32 plastic model, I relocated only the bottom portion of the slot closer to and into the leading edge. I'll add support to the cut into the leading edge with some carbon fiber matt. I used a piece of a smaller size leading edge stock to simulate the bottom leading edge of the slot. You see cardboard stock that sits on a groove cut into the L/E stock that when sized will curve into the top surface sheeting as the picture shows. The cardboard will be replaced by 1/32 ply. Looks rather scale, I think Charlie would be pleased. What do you think? Chic
