Nobody is betting on HVLP technology. It is here to stay and is the defacto standard. And why wouldn't it be? It puts more paint on the surface and less in the air. Therefore it is environmentally superior and saves money on paint because you blow less paint into the air.

By the way, it uses the same air handling hardware as the old style spray guns. It just operates at a lower air pressure at the gun. You can still use your trusty 120 psi compressor. Just set the regulator at 12 psi instead of 35 psi, or whatever works best for the gun you get.

Your 4 year old's lungs will thank you.
