My preference is for those very strong, black, glass-filled nylon engine mounts in
the pictures below. When these beam mounts, engine and fire wall are bolted
together they form strong no-flex unit. I've used them for many years and have
never seen a failure. Also, they can be drilled, tapped and used without nuts if
you prefer.
