Today I put the 85 on the bench and test ran it. It started right up but would not stay running at the 4000rpm setting on my throttle. This is where the dead stick happened, at this throttle setting. So I tuned the engine and had to turn out both needles a 1/3 turn to get it to run smoothly threw all throttle settings, and sustained running. I did three 15min test, The temp was in the 40s and 50s, The reason for my flame out was she was lean. I had it set to the recommended one turn setting, and ran great until it died. These engines are very blunt about what they want . Now I am at one and a 1/3 on both needles and she is running really good, 5900rpms on the 26x10 Xoar. I have about 130 min on the engine at this time. Engine head temps where in the 190 to 240 over a 15 min run on the stand, mostly at 3000- 4000 rpms.
