What I did to make my starter work on a prop hub is to flip the cone around so the smaller hole is out, then I did a little creative carving with a knife and made the hole a tapered hole that was a bit bigger than stock. That worked better, what worked best was getting rid of that blasted prop hub and putting a spinner on it.
