Actually, the question I really wanted to ask, bill, the pics of yours in the beginning of the thread showed the two H stab halvs joined by brass. Was this only for the adjustable stab?
Actually the brass was something to allow for a pivot and to allow me to solder a lug to. The brass tube has a hard dowel epoxied inside full length. That's about the only way to get a scale appearance.
