Well after several hours mocking up the flaps I finally figured out the mechanism. At least the wing portion is done. Last thing left on the wing is to figure out an easier way to attach the servo links to get the servo in and out easily. The links are "almost" short enough to slip in, but not quite.

I used the swivel links for this like I used for the wheel doors on the P-51. The pushrods for the flaps are not in a position that would work with one link to be symmetrical. According to the plans, the links need to be at a certain position so I did the setup based on that. The most difficult part was figuring out the hidden link on the flap itself. I mocked up a part of the flap and got it all working.



The part I mocked up can probably be used as is after trimming and securing the horn. It works quite well, and with a little fine tuning I should be able to have two flap positions.
