0.025 way too thin imo.....0.35 in mild should be ok but for hard bashing i'd beef it up a tad to .049 in critical areas, i've always used 3/8 4130 chmoly with 0.049 wall, 5/16 @0.035 and .049 and 1/4 @.035....for suspension arms/ link bars i use .065....may seem like overkill but my chassis' do not bend also the more bracing you have the thinner the wall you can go...i use 4130 for additional strength and it's lighter than mild
