I've seen an excessively large number of foam wing pylon models after they pounded the ground. Mostly the wing skins are not bonded very well to the foam cores judging by how much foam remained attached to the skins. 3M 465 tape held better, but I have not seen enough destroyed wings yet with gorilla glue to assess their strength after the fact.
