Default RE: ok i think i have a big problem

ORIGINAL: sackingsfan

i was putting my first sig kadet senior arf together and i thought i was doing everything correctly. i didn't have the engine yet so i skipped the engine mount install section. and i installed the fuel tank. now i can get to the rear of the firewall because the tank is in the way there is a cross beam right behind the fuel tank that i used CA to install it. the manual says there is a way to remove the tank but i am not sure how could you please help thanks
It will take a little careful doing but you need to remove the beam (1/4" square??) If You just CA'ed it the the bulkhead it should come out pretty easy by cutting it in the middle first with dykes, then moving each peice up and down till they seperate.

I don't know about the arf version, did you cut a peice from supplied stick or does it have notches built into the bulkhead for it to fit into? I am thinking you just cut a peice in ca'ed it to the inside face of the bulkhead/former. and I take it there is no provision for a hatch? normally when you put the tank in the support is added at the back of the tank so you can just squeeze the tank out from under it. I wrap foam around mine and add only a drop on each end of the support.
