Yes, I think an alarm would not be a bad idea!!

A good togue lock would not hurt either along with wheel locks if applicable.

The trailer idea is catching on big in my neck of the woods and I think it's a great way to go. Plus the trailer costs so much less than maintaining another vehicle.

I have another trailer that I use exclusively for my construction business and have owned it for 12 years. I have never had someone try and steal it, but I don't leave it unattended much either.

BOY THIS "HOBBY" IS GETTNG EXPENSIVE!!!
