I bought a digital electric (9 volt battery) scale at Walmart and it goes up to 5 pounds (80 oz.) and one push of a button converts to grams. It allows for tare (a hook, rope, whatever holding the plane) and has consistant accuracy. It is not expensive, but I've had it so long, I cannot remember the price. It is called a
GOOD COOK ELECTRONIC SCALE.
