I would even say that you could use A-5 and A-6 schemes. The slightly longer nose is not that big a factor for a plane of this scale level. The A-8 gets to be a bit tougher unless you modify the gun hood, an obvious difference.
Yes, I retained all of the stock MonoKote. On one plane I removed the Eagles (Hackle scheme), on the other I used a scheme that retained most of them. If you want to see more about the detailing technicques I used, go to the Best Pilots site.
