I don't think it's fair that retired folks get a discount either! If anything, I should get a discount, not because I'm a veteran, but because I actively promote the hobby and the AMA.
AMA dues should be based upon what positive things members actually bring to the organization. People who sit around and complain about membership costs, their military service or disability are not bringing many new people into the hobby or the AMA.
