This is my first rear carburetor engine, this may seem like a stupid question but i don't know the answer so i will ask. When this engine is bolted up there is very clearance between the carb and firewall. Is there a through hole needed in the firewall to allow for intake air?
3/4 inch or more should be enough. Engines spit fuel out the carb so try not to cut a hole if you don't have too.
I have a 1/4 scale don smith P-51. Looks like the engine for it.
