Default DLE 55 Ignition Module

I have a Giant Sun Dancer running a DLE 55. Had no problems with it. Work took me away from RC flying for about 4 years. Stored all my planes properly, batteries removed, tanks defuled, stored in a climate controlled facility. Getting around to getting my birds back in the air. Replaced all 3 batteries in the Sundancer (smoke sys. receiver, ignition sys w/ opti-kill switch. New Roto-Flow tank. Pulled the engine removed and inspected the carb. New CM-6 plug. All is good. Won't start. Going over everything I discovered.....no spark to the plug. All connections the same. I'm guessing the ignition module is bad. Is there a way the bench test it to confirm it's bad? Would it sitting for 4 years cause it to fail? Just curious.

BTW this engine was purchased in 2008. Has 15 +/- hours on it. I was using a 4.8v battery in the past but I did install a new 6 volt battery for the ignition circuit. The module is rated between 4.5v & 6.0v. Could I have possibly fried the module with the 6v. battery?
