ummm... an F-14 EDF... this is your first airplane and you managed to get it back on the ground in one piece?

you're likely seeing the result of cheap / poor electronics or basic RC airplane 101 stuff..

questions:
what brand / model number Transmitter and receiver are you using?
and are you turning the transmitter on FIRST, then connecting the battery in the airplane?
