I agree with Tom that you will get more answers in the gas engine forum or the giant scale forum. That being said, the Mezj 23X8 is the ideal prop for that engine. If you feel it is too fast I would suggest throttle management. Loading down the engine to slow it down could lead to overheating.
More pitch provides more speed, right ? I can't remember. If I'm right, then a larger prop, with less pitch, may slow down the landings, and create prop to ground clearance issues.
