Another plane you should consider is the world models 60 size mustang. While its an arf not a kit its an excellent flying plane that can be a very good everyday flier for you. I had one that I flew for 7 years and over 800 flights and it was my favorite warbird for everyday. I have another of these in the box ready to assemble and plan to put a dle20 in it which will fly it VERY well. You could fly that while you are building the Top Flite.
