Here's one that has turned out rather well.

A VERY simple all balsa Spitfire.
About 30" span, 12 ounces with a DC Super Merlin.
All tissue trim with 2 pack clear floor finish.
Lemon receiver and battery ticked away in centre section box which also forms the dihedral brace.
Fuselage is stiffened with a carbon tube down the centre.

Flies well on rudder/elevator.
Lovely "Spitfire" style rolls and nice loops and reversals.
The Merlin has just the right amount of power and starts in a few flicks on the running settings, no mucking about with priming needed - lovely!

Even the glide isn't too bad now that I have learned to let it find it's own fast slope.
