Default Klotz Oil Problem - Very strange

I've been following all of the threads about the various oils and have never seen mention of the problem that I had with Klotz RC Model Lube synthetic, so here goes:

Last spring I aquired a new Brison 3.2 and broke it in for 5 gallons or so on Valvoline 2-stroke, starting at 40:1 and finishing at 50:1. Engine ran great. Being a proponent of synthetics when possible, I bought 6 bottles of Klotz RC Model Lube. I continued with the 50:1 mix using the Klotz. Very predictably, after 6 flights, the engine would begin to lean out and not transition. This could be improved by richening the lower needle for next several flights and eventually by the 8th flight a dead stick would result.

Ok, I rebuilt the carb figuring that something got ingested somehow. Ran great for 6 flights and the same thing would happen.

I found I could pull the needles out and spray carb cleaner thru their passages and this would correct the problem for another 6 flights. I replaced the entire fuel system, no change, same 6 flight rule.

I talked to Gary at Brison and he recommended replacing the carb, which I did. Guess what, no change - 6 flights and it would act up again. This was a joke at our field as everybody would ask what flight it was and then wait for an entertaining dead stick. This was not fun.

I reluctantly went back to the tried-and-true Valvoline 2-stroke and not had a problem since! Probably have 75 flights on it plus another 50 on another new Brison 3.2 without any problem.

I've tried to blame it on California gas not mixing properly with the Klotz, maybe causing clots! Any thoughts?

Note: the 6 flights were not necessarily on the same day, but usually over a 2 day period. I also tried mixing new gas each day but that didn't help.

TIA
