Hall, thanks very much for getting in touch with Klotz. I am impressed with their rapid response and with the straight forward answer. I guess that we in the DFW area just happen to have blends that are more friendly to Klotz oil. I just wonder if other synthetics such as Amsoil or Redline would have the same problem in your area. He is correct about the extra protection of synthetic. Looks like some of the guesses above were right on target.
