Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!
Just read the responce that you got from Klotz.......not too far off was I........(not gloating....)
Gas is not gas these days......it's something that will explode in your cylinder and make the piston move up and down...and that's just about it...Al La requring to have a ignition that is much higher in voltage that days gone by...
I deal with racing a little bit and if you take UnoCal and some of the other racing gases...and pour some in a container and then pour some regular gas in a nother container....say, BP, Shell, etc.
the Racing gas will evaporate and the regular gas will just set their....
You have to be verry careful with Coleman fuel..the octane is lower and their is no smell...so you don't know if you have a leak in a gas line or other places...or spilt gas you won't smell it..
AvGas is a higher octane and may still containe some led...and here you have to have a pilots license to get it...
If you have a ZDZ it's fine to run high octaine...
High octaine burns slower than regular..and will cause a spark knock in a engine that is not designed to run it such as US Engines, Zenoah, RCS, and most others....
Stick with the 2 stroke oil you are using and I don't think that you will have a problem with your local, doctered gas.
And fellas, this has been one of the most informative bench sessions that I have ever seen anywhere...finally a company has let it be known that they don't have all the solutions to everything and admited it...
