I've been on a self - imposed vacation from building, and now that it's almost flying season I decided I needed to get back to work. The canopy has been a tedious affair, which I was not expecting after the complexity of the Corsair canopy of my last build. I had installed a brass channel for the rail and was not happy with either the look or the fact that the canopy would not be captured by the rails and could fly off. So I used a soldering gun to melt the epoxy and pulled off the old channel, and made some new "C" rails with a Dremel router table I bought years ago, thinking that it would be cheaper to buy the router table than to buy slotted rails commercially. I'm getting there, just putting some finishing touches on the frame before I glue the windscreen in and paint the frame.
