Yes
It doesnt have to be level with the straight flying level whatsoever. It only needs to show in the right direction as in the picture above. I am sure there is a maximum angle which you should not exceed, since you have to use the software if you want to mount the cortex in a different orientation. Just apply common sense when you mount it
Btw, you shouldn't mount it next to the turbine. The bottom of the fuselage just below the cockpit is fine, assuming that your receiver is located there as well, I mean you're limited to the cable length anyways ,right?
