Hi Jim
you probably missed it because I designed the Quest in 1999

and built it in 01for Jason Shulman with hopes he would use it in the Japan invitational AIM But he did not get invited , and it was finished too late for the World champs that year in Ireland, "I Think "
I don`t know if you were in pattern at that time. I only completed one model ,Still probably one of my Favorites , I still have another one in the bones framed up but no plans , only my pencil drawings.
ZN line agreed to kit this plane, I even built a plug! But I pulled out and decided not to do it because I went back to YS from OS. By that time , I was hot on the Shinden and the new YS 160. I flew the Quest for 4 years, 3 years with the OS 1.4 EFI, Made the finals at the Nats one or two times with it, and One year with the Dreadful 1.4 DZ nearly shook it to pieces LOL.
It taught me so much about trimming modern designs and frustrated me at the same time

. the Valiant was a sister to the Quest and was a progression of that fuse shape with softer curves. The New Allure takes it one step farther and will be the third generation of the Quest.
This guy who started the thread contacted me and asked for the plans to cad it I was reluctant But sent them anyway. He was really energized to get the airplane kit going But I think it was over his head and I nearly had to go to Australia to get my plans back from him after he pooped out. I havn`t heard from him again and neither has anyone else I don`t think
Anyway just a little on the airplane and the thread, the nose shape started a new trend in pattern design Now it`s pretty much ho hum, they all have the v vent cut out and hood riser look, But I created it

Harold Collins and I sold tons of my cheek cowlings and hood scoops around the world ,as add on parts for anyone to use and dress their models up we practically wore the molds out! people glued them to Ariel's and Jeckle`s ! lol
I still have the Quest plug so you never know !
