Joe since the 770 is a 7 channel receiver it will work fine. I have 3 planes set up that way using 700's (PPM version). You may have found it by now but in a radio subsection JR has a manufacturers rep section for questions. There are a lot of things that I have found an easy way to handle on the 8103 from this section. Besides its fun to pay lets try and stump Danny (the rep).

aileron61, the nice thing about using 2 channels on the radio is the ability to match the end points and the fact that the setting will not drift as it tends to do with some servo reversers.
