My first Tiger Moth had the same issue with wanting to climb. Had a bunch of down elevator trim in it. The one above has ten Sub-C cells, five behind the engine to supply the glow plug, and the other five just inside the firewall to supply the radio. No down trim was required with the elevators flat with the stab. Haven't checked the CG yet but will.
