RE: Compare IMAC planes
We have 2 TBM 260, 2 custom built light weight copies of the 260, and 2 composite ARF extras. They are very similiar for precision flying. Snaps of any type are what they do best. The CA is a little easier to roll. The TBM has about 70 sq in more wing and is 2-3 lb lighter. This lets it start and stop snaps a little better and if you bury an upline snap it will recover quicker.
For 3D the TBM is significantly better. It's lighter and more stable in almost everything. The CA is more stable in an inverted harrier. Other than that the light weight of the TBM is really nice for 3D.
Both planes are fine with any of the 100cc class twins. If you're considering one of the singles, the TBM would definitely be better.
IMAC I rate as a tossup. 3D goes the the TBM. I have not even seen the AirWild Giles so can't be of any help there.
