Generally u buy a specific starter box or one that is comparable with ur chassis.
so what that means is, u need to be able to set the locating tabs to fit ur buggy so it's secure when starting.
one good thing about running a bump start engine, as they call it. Is they don't have a cam for a pull start so they have a lighter rotating mass and makes it a more responsive engine.
I Am not sure Ia m following how you think a starterbox is more maintenance ? other then having to charge batteries a starterbox is far easier to live with tday to day hen any pullstart or rotostart..........Starterboxxes are also a bunch more reliable too................. The only issue I see with them is guys dont quite understand how to set them up properly....but once they have that under their belt and have the box up and running they probably wont want to touch a a pull or roto again.......As its a huge PITA next to a starterbox.......
