RE: Fun Fly Events
One of the things you can do to keep excitement up during the fun-fly involves scoring. Our club wanted everyone to have as much fun as possible, and not too much concern for the awards.
A forinstance: we did dead stick loops. One guy did 12 and the next did 6, then two with 5 and on down. Instead of scoring as a percentage and letting the one get a huge lead for the next event, we awarded 1 point for first, 2 for second, 3 for third, etc. Even though the first guy won by 50 percent, he only lead by 1 point.
This normally leaves the field closely grouped, right down to the last event.
