Jimbo went with me to the Litchfield Airport yesterday, July 3rd, for the 3rd flight on my new Wart Hawg.
After the Master did some fine tuning we were ready to punch it into a 11 MPR quartering wind.
Tracked right down the center line, flew off this time instead of jumping off, with the KT 140s putting her up to cruising speed quicker than I ever remember.
Jimbo gave me 2 clicks of left plus 2 clicks of down & we were off doing what Wart Hawgs do.
Timer was set on 6 1/2 minutes but it seemed like maybe 2 minutes when Jimbo say you got 47 seconds left.
So gear down, fly the pattern, over the runway, full flaps, full gyro, maintain half throttle, then quarter, grease her on, chop the throttle, roll out & brake.....after going quarter throttle never touched the ailerons or rudder.
Packed up, headed home for Cracker day by the pool.
Thanks Jerry for a delightful Hawg & Jimbo for being my wing man one more time before giving me to Jerry for his birthday !
Hawg men will enjoy the phone videos for weathering.(Will post Videos later)
Cheers & Happy Cracker Day, Roger
