Another private full size, all grass, runway. The property changed ownership but, fortunately, the new owner allowed the club to remain there as he has a plane and they cut the grass. A very nice, clear day with low winds. The last few days have been unusual in that the night temps have been in the 50's so it's been more like spring temps. Will be back into the 60's/80's after today.
Had a good time putting in 5 flights and meeting a couple new pilots. One was flying his 'flip flopper' but he was an engineer where they make full size props and the conversation was interesting on how the props are made and changes in technology that have been made.
I liked how he flew his 'flip flopper' as he flew the plane at a very scale speed when doing his flying routine: seems like that would be much more difficult to do, and maintain flight consistency, than a full speed routine. He did a vertical rolling loop which I'd never seen before. Lunch was part of the landing fee and they made great burgers (no 'brickets').
