Default Munster 2014 report

Once again I attended the Panzermuseum Munster to display once again with RAG, only this time with 3 other enthusiasts, Steve Norris a fellow UKTC member along with Tim (swamprat) and Martin (Ex-pat tanker) from RC Tank Regiment, our trip started at 02:00 earlier for Tim as he had to drive from Manchester to Solihull, just in case any are thinking of attending this event in future the round trip from Solihull including an overnight stop in Cologne then a detour to Baugnez http://www.baugnez44.be/en/presentation/museum.htm to visit the Malmendy museum and memorial then on to La Gleize and Stoumont this was a total of 1500 miles and used £200 in Diesel plus the crossing on Eurotunnel, the trip from my house to Munster was 12 hours this included the pickups and traffic the only problem we had was Monday morning when I realised that I had left my laptop in the museum though since then this has been returned.
As usual RAG demonstrated models in 1/16, 1/10, 1/8, 1/6, 1/5 and finally ¼, there main scale is 1/8 and most of these are modern Bundeswehr.
As usual we slept in the Nato base close to Munster were we enjoyed as much beer and food as we could manage.
After the closure of the museum in Koblenz the collection has been broken up some of the vehicles are now in Munster some in storage at Panzer Lehr waiting for an extension to the museum and some have come to Bovington though I don’t know if they are yet on display.
It was an absolute pleasure to spend time with Steve, Martin and Tim, I hope they enjoyed the experience.

Just a few pictures I will post a link to the RAG page with more.

Leopard 2a6 in 1/8 scale with a pyro going of under track

1/5 Jagdpanther firing, although the flash was barley seen this is the flash caught on film.

How to pack your models complete with all batteries, chargers, radios and anything else associated with the model

Here are a few more pictures
