If it weren't for racing, I probably would be out of the hobby. I fly for the adrenalin rush that racing in a close heat can bring. Many racers (myself included) have said that they would rather lose a close heat than lap the other contestants. A close race with four planes each trading places for the lead around pylons #2 and #3 is what it's all about. That simply is the most fun that can be had in R/C! It just doesn't get any better!
