I've got a Viper VX4.39 motor and Copperhead ESC combo, and my truck doesn't wheelie either. ESC specs @ 100 amp continuous w/ a 550 amp burst. Slipper is locked. Battery is claimed to be 30c. I have noticed that with the stock tires, it will do 4wd burnouts from a dead stop, so I'm wondering how it will hook up with a different set of tires. At least there's enough speed for me to be satisfied
