Jim, I have been refining this Macchi design for almost 5 years now. It is now a bit big for a .45 but with a hot .60 would keep up with a Jackel no sweat. I have started producing kits and build them to order. This way I can make adjustments to as what engine you anticipate running, if you want retracts or not, wing area requirements, right down to the layup schedule so as to not make it overly strong depending on power used. Over the past 3 years racing the design I have won 2 local championships and am in great shape to win a third this year. Not only is the model fast but it really grooves in the turns.
