Well boys, I can say with as much confidence as someone in my shoes could have, that this bird is ready to leave the nest and fly! I've been over every connection, linkage, nut bolt and screw at least a dozen times. I just taxied around the yard and up and down the street for over an hour, and the Brillelli is running flawlessly. With a xoar 21-8 prop it idles at 1100 and peaks at 6500. I have every bit of confidence in the power plant, and to me that means a lot. The only reason I MAY not maiden it this weekend is that the boys and I are going camping. If were back early enough on Sunday, and everything feels right at the field, I'll do the maiden. If not, there's always next weekend. My goal was to maiden by the first weekend in October so I'm ahead of the game already.
