Re: battery retention. Kinda depends on how you fly doesn't it? I know I can't resist snap rolls. I am kind to my jets so I usually slow in an upline and ease off the snap to slow it down after initiation, or I like to do a snap from the vertical into a little tumble at the top. All my jets and my Electra snap pretty violently! So for this reason I have my batteries velcroed so they won't slide and secured with straps or zip ties so they can't go anywhere. If it wasn't for those high G snaps I think Velcro alone would be sufficient. But just imagine how heavy your batteries are with a 10 G load. As a safety factor for those "whoops!" moments that may be a reasonable assumption.
