Yep, that's what we've seen - several times which resulted in damage. The crow seems to eliminate that tendency nicely. Note that 3/8" is the amount up from the aileron position that is even with the flaps when they are up. If your setup is like Dave Wilshere recommended, you're already up 1/8" from that in the normal configuration...
