Steve,I love my vanessa rig, it takes about 10 min to assemble from scrap wood and even less time to set up. Did you find it hard to use? I would say if anyone here has not used one you give it a try, there is no concern of ever damaging your plane and it works on any plane right side up.

I can't fault you for wanting an ARF, but how about the other 99% of winter? What's this kit you made reference to? Will that be after your ARF assembly? BTW, what a genius idea of the balance buddies. I wish I saw that before spending all that time building a Vanessa rig.
