I lived in Wixom, worked most of the time in our office in Plymouth right by Beck and M14, so not too far from you at all.
I've no experience of the Mako, its not really what I would consider a compatible system as it does not slow the tank down as you take hits - not sure whether that's still a requirement in DTC or not these days, but it will be if you ever make it down to the AAF Museum.
Unfortunately with the Taigen 2.4 GHz system you are kind of stuck for options at the moment, unless one of the guys has an RX18 and radio set from a HL going spare, in which case I'd suggest getting the original DBC from Darkith instead?
