Interesting. This is where I was having an issue with the amount of down elevator trim. By using an offset mix to the amount needed, it would also cut my elevator throw by a significant amount. This would happen just by turning on the offset mix. The throw was not nearing the ATV limit but for some strange reason, the throw was cut by more than half. The AFR remained unchanged. Made for an interesting few flights. As soon as the flaps and elev mix went on, the elevator felt lathargic.
