Dave was gracious enough to sell me a Davis head for the Fox .50 engine. I'll break it in on glow and get a few baseline tach numbers before it gets Dieselized. What would be a good fuel mixture to start with? I'll be mixing my own fuel. Yes, I'm sure some will suggest starting off with some commercially prepared model diesel fuel to get acquainted with the whole process. My flying buddy has diesels and will likely be helping me run the Fox .50 on diesel.

I guess the common adage is 1/3 / 1/3 / 1/3 kero / castor / ether. I understand this is too much oil; could the ether and kero contents be adjusted for just 20% oil?
