I have an FA-200Ti converted to CDI/glow fuel. It is comparable to an FA-180 CDI conversion as far as power output. 7850 RPM W/an 18x8 propeller.
I would suspect that the smaller FA-100Ti would be comparable to an FA-91S.
Be forewarned, they desperately need dual carbs as they run horribly unbalanced as far as A/F ratios. One cylinder runs slobbering rich when you adjust the needle for best average mixture I can't remember which cylinder ran rich.
While I didn't see the usual 200-300 RPM improvement in WOT performance from the CDI conversion, I saw a 70% improvement in fuel economy.
On GI (glow ignition) it drank 12oz of 15% nitro glow fuel in a little over 7 minutes @ WOT. On CDI it took it just a few second over 12 minutes to drain the same amount if fuel.
Overall I like the engine & when converted to CDI W/glow fuel, they are pretty economical on fuel for the amount of power it puts out.
Very smooth too & since it has a 30° offset crank, it is an even firing twin (360° firing order) & is very easy to convert to spark ignition.
