Not sure if I told you about my last flight with the Rearwin. Was getting toward the end of the flight. I pulled the stick back to settle into a nice approach, and the engine wouldn't throttle down. I had throttle control from about half to full, but nothing below half. I did a few patterns at half throttle trying to get it to come down, but at half throttle, she wants to climb. No luck. So I went around for a real wide approach, and made sure I was set up as good as possible, and killed the ignition. Brought it in for a perfect three point dead stick. When I looked, I saw the broken mount on the opposite side of the throttle so when I pulled the stick back, it actually would pull the whole engine. Whew, close call.
