Default How to check diffs for replacement?

I have been on this hobby for about 2 years and have went through a lot of different models. Several rc10gt, xxxnt, rc8, ofna ultra, ofna lx2, several savages, mmgt, mgt, trf801xt, mp777, and I am sure some I have forgotten.

My question is that I recently purchased another Ofna Ultra lx to bash around and have something durable for my buddies to pound on when I'm out bashing. I sick an engine on it and when I give it has the engine revs fast bit hardly moves. I have never changed diff fluid in any of my setups mostly because I sale them of before this is needed. Its there a way to inspect the diffs without pulling? I did notice if I turn one of the front wheels the other turns the same way. The back is similar as well. I thought it might have a lsd but now I am sure they are toast. Since they are fairly loud could it be the oil has simply drained out?

Thanks
